Flooring design professionals in the Northwest, OH area - Carpet Wholesalers

Company history

Carpet Wholesalers was founded in 2003 by Gary and Ann Heater with a simple belief: treat people fairly, stand behind your work, and always strive to do the right thing. As longtime entrepreneurs in Defiance, they felt the remodeling process had become far too expensive and complicated, so Gary opened three Carpet Wholesalers locations to give Northwest Ohio families and businesses an affordable, honest, and accessible place to improve their spaces. Today, we proudly serve Defiance, Bryan, and Napoleon, OH, built on the same values of honesty, integrity, and strong relationships.

In 2020, Gary and Ann passed the business down to their grandson, William Reilly Heater, and his wife, Aubrey, who continue the family tradition of service and integrity. Under their leadership, Carpet Wholesalers continued to grow with the acquisition of Johnson’s Floor Coverings in 2024, strengthening its presence in the commercial flooring market and increasing our capacity to take on larger-scale projects.

What we offer

Carpet Wholesalers offers a full range of flooring services, including professional flooring installation for carpet, LVP, laminate, sheet vinyl, and commercial spaces, along with expert flooring repairs, carpet re‑stretching, and carpet disposal. We create custom area rugs and provide free in‑home measurements to make planning simple. You can stop in and purchase flooring to take home and install yourself, or choose to have our experienced team handle the installation for you.

With over 50 years of combined experience, we offer free design help and trend‑focused guidance so you can choose the right flooring for your budget and lifestyle. Since flooring is something most people purchase only every 10–15 years, we make the process easy and stress‑free, and because we buy directly from manufacturers, we offer manufacturer‑direct pricing that often beats big box stores.

Each Carpet Wholesalers location is a preferred U‑Haul Neighborhood Dealer, offering convenient truck and trailer rentals to help transport materials or assist with your move.
